hi marcus,
thanks for the images, excellent as always.that penllyne artic was the first one they had in 1983 when the armitage law changed the weights to 38 tonnes.penllyne had many subbies who would welcome any work that penllyne offered as jeff thomas (the owner) was/is a wealthy land owner and had a reputation for being a very prompt, reliable and regular payer, you kindly posted the advert from the penllyne sale back in 1990 on this thread and at the bottom it read,"all items free from any finance constraints"there aren’t many so called logistics specialists who can say that these days marcus.
komatsu 450 that’s a cracking shot of james’ erf in tony morgans yard, thank you,i remember that wrecker, posted a photo of it as a unit earlier on in our thread.a rare factory sleeper.

hi john,
this contractor was bought as a complete running useable vehicle by tony morgan.they then started work on changing the original scammell cab to one removed from a marathon.the other one i posted recently was an original hht built by heanor haulage from langley mill, derby.she wasd registered sal 513r and featured on the cover of truck magazine during the 70’s.during 1996 g.e. keedwell bought it,ran it for a while then started changing the cab for a 112 scania r type.
