hi boys,
yes i agree it’s amazing how times have changed.when graham told me last week that the 620 scania and trailer are 55 tonnes empty!that shocked me!graham kindly rang me today and said he will sort out even more pictures for us to enjoy.he was a little concerned that he had sent to many!then i reassured him that you can never see too many photos of that outfit!

three of us on our way to dover, july 1991.

at dover.

me driving e309 sth onto the ferry doos astrid.

joint driver carl kearn parking b948 bwn on the boat to ostende.

three of us parked up sunday night in ostende, myself, carl kearn and driving “the red merc” keith green,(keith now drives for taylor’s of martley).

me waiting in the que to tip a load of abbey coil at vw’s storage facility in gent.once tipped, keith and i then went empty over to p.b. gellatines at villvoorde to load diced animal bones (seriousley  ) for treeforest.where i would tip my trailer and keith’s as his tractor didn’t have tipping gear.

parked up in ostende loaded with diced animal bones for the uk and waiting for the evening sailing to dover.keith and i where asked to move as the awful stench from the bones was going into the aircon.vents in the offices above.

carl had loaded bricks in duffle and had to go to the midlands were they would remove the labels saying “made in belgium” and replace them with labels saying “made in the uk”.they would then be tipped in the abbey at port talbot.

Hi Andrew,

Im really enjoying this thread, even though its not my neck of the woods.

The variety of pics is excellent.

Do you have any of the Alan Price tipper fleet, in particular the Ford Cargo 6 wheelers by any lucky chance?

Cheers
Mark
