Hi Martyn,
I drove a Bedford KM tipper almost identical to that one for C M Philpotts of Kington throughout most of 1970,it had a five speed gear box and a two speed axle,it would outpull anything in the quarries around here including the D series Fords with the 360 turbo engine, only difference to that one was the one I drove was on an F plate.
Cheers Dave

Hi John,
Its a KM,as I said I drove one, they were the same cab as a TK,only mounted on a wider and higher chassis, also the double bumper, made for the 16 ton plated weight, that and the one I drove had the Bedford 466 engie, the later models had the 500 blue series engines.
Cheers Dave.
ileft davies bros and went to work for shillibiers first truck a lend only volvo 86 it had been in griffin mill ponty for gearbox under warranty i beleive he bought it as an ex demo after that i got the bison on the right thats me with ntx 949r which he bought new must have been loads of work then.
anyone remember this one ?
here’s one for chris 143,a “slightly damaged” bridgend brs scania.
crazy ray underhill used to drive this scania for pyle based celtic recycling, seen here with a ken jones (keedwell group) flat.
crazy ray was more often to be seen pulling this low loader with all kinds of machinery or scrap transformers on it.
my mate jason williams had this beautiful 620 topline brand new back in 2006.seen here at the 2007 carmarthen truckshow which he subsequently won and several regular show winners really “spat their dummy’s out” over that.
