That trailer fleet numbering is interesting 36–12 ! 36 ft. long fleet no 12 I would think probably should have been CC/12/36. Bewick.

Hiya Bernard Curly was a dyed in the wool ERF/■■■■■■■ man although he did used to have an E type Jag which was always parked in the showroom of the filling station at Hackthorpe where he lived .It never came out in the rain !!! He knew I wasn’t a Pink Gin man because I had run up and down the road with him in my earlier days !! Curly would just think we were a bunch of sad B******s if he could see how we keep ourselves occupied now !! Iv’e just remembered when 16 tonners were de-licened in 1970 Curly bought a KM Bedford for his nephew to drive ( I think) but I dont think it worked out as I remember this guy threw a coil off near where we were on the A6 and I seem to remember when Curly arrived on the scene he chased him down the A6 waving a jack handle no joke !! I think the bloke came from Blackburn and was Maggies nephew but it didn’t matter that day Curly was out for blood !! Cheers Bewick.
