for anyone who was wondering what this truck originally was.david a. davies who’s tippers featured several pages back tells me it’s a guy bigj tractor unit with an experimental v6 ■■■■■■■■■■■■ was nothing but trouble,i guess that this truck died very young and that is how there was so little left of it when i took this photograph back in 1996.
dai lloyd from pyle ran this erf on blue circle cement work in the mid-90’s.
a smart f12 used on brick and block haulage owned by huw davies transport from west wales.
on of jr’s many f10’s seen unusually with a brick crane trailer.
one of jr’s first ever man’s,closely followed by dozens more.

hi chris,
funny you should mention that,i’ve been looking for the album with that in and so far i still can’t find it.though i will keep looking.
stg 10y was a 1633s and the first merc. joints ever bought.in the spring of 1983 when they had it none of us could believe what a machine it was, remember until then joints had “invested” heavily in marathons and b series erf’s and the like,10y was like a space ship from another planet compared to the home grown motors they had been running.
hiya,
Couple of pairs of well turned ankles there mate.
thanks harry long retired.
