After a Saturday night on Bt local,s remember the ERF day cabs parked up brand new and the Rockwool job adverts on the office wall.
That would be the tail end of a Warren,s insulation motor by the side.
Geoff remember Rockwool on strike and some were on Ford,s Halewood and Brian Towell went to Westbury on cement.
Ironic i called in the Travis Perkins next door this morning and always look in the old yard with memories .

Hi Allan,
I’m sorry to say,Steve Morgan passed away a fortnight ago.A very talented artist. He’d been plagued with bad health these last 30 years. He gave me this wonderful picture that he’d created.

Morning Mr Steel
Alan,s wife was brought up in the next street to me.
Her father was big friends with the Protheroe,s years ago and perhaps that was his ticket into the abbey works?
My old uncle was a horse and cart coal contractor[NCB] progressing to tipper and he always told me the spragg name was fruiterers in the Bridgend area.He also took on the Victoria pub in town for a while and the tile,s for us job.
