JAKEY:
Scania81 Dai, I cannot recall me sending this one to you .
Evening Jakey,
The leyland in its latter day was driven by Hughie Davies [rip].
Brand new either to Dai Page or John Ellis and the trailer was 1 of 2.
TRXG 648 or 649 which were used by B. tissues drivers with the contract motors and then put into the general fleet later.
Very handy for safeway Alyesford on which the unloading canopy was to low for the 15.6 tautliners.
I actually tipped sainsbury,s allington maidstone on their last trip and dropped them in collease dagenham on the way back around 1995.
Dai
Message for Dai, have a look on ebay ,british road service , a 112 Scania (wales) with a Hoover trailer ,you might know the wagon and driver ,regards JAKEY

Morning Jakey,
I did not know any Merthyr drivers and only ever went to the yard once to drop a rental motor at swansea road early 1 morning to find out the workshop had been broken into over night.
Bridgend did adopt 1 of the sister,s of that ebay photo which i think was E 875 TAX scania driven by Lee Parry which drank oil on every trip and was closely monitored by the workshop.
Dai
Good morning Dai, No problem ! it was just a thought . thanks Jakey

Hi all,
Not sure if we’ve had this one before? Courtesy of Stu Mitchell…
Morning Andrew, i have the above photo which i believe was taken at the bottom of newport road cardiff.
1 of 2 to arrive at bridgend in the new distribution colours and fitted with coach diffs.
May be wrong but i,m sure 1 was driven by Mike Davey although i did not know him and Elwyn Trotman drove the other for a while.
Put on rockwool first and later on ended their day on general in the new white colours at the time.
The single axle trailers used to do lots of multi drop around towns and city centres but you seemed to get used to them.
