Does anyone recall a transport manager who worked for Entress, JR and John Evans (Llanelly) by the name of Noel Harries?

I remember Noel, great gentleman, always willing to help, cant say he was too happy when we used to nick his company Golf to attend a breakdown! As he knew he would be staying late if we got caught up in traffic. I had a lot of time for Noel, some thirty three years ago (good grief, that long?!) Simon

Thanks Simon, Noel’s my dad, unfortunately he passed away Monday evening after being ill for some time. I remember that golf, my mother somehow managed to pull the traffic lights down outside county hall in Swansea with it. Caused chaos on Saturday evening, especially the JR wagon blocking the mumbles road to recover it.

Sorry for your loss Allan, a big loss to the haulage industry with his knowledge. When is he being laid to rest? I like to be able to pay my last respects, but unfortunately I’m away until the 14th. Please accept my condolences to you and your family. Funny how these stories of times past come to the front when people pass on, I think I remember one of the boys from the garage going to recover the golf.

Thank you Simon. Noel’s funeral is 1pm Friday 12th October at Llanelli Crematorium
