Hi all. Looking at the Mansel Davie’s Volvo there it looks a little sad. Perhaps white instead of red in the grill would make it look a little happier, and possibly a white bumper/lower fairing.
Not sure if this is an issue back in the U.K., but Iv’e had a few good photo opportunities in the past few weeks of some better than average motors of new contractors working for the U.S Postal service in Orlando. The problem is if you are caught on the security cameras taking photos of any kind you get hauled in to the head man to explain, or your boss gets a friendly phone call. I only work on Sunday’s to give my mate a day off every other week, so its quiet and a few of the Orlando domiciled motors are parked up.
In my regular job, we get the same thing. No photo’s and sworn to not discuss or disclose any information about projects we work at in any of the theme parks.
I got a different truck a few weeks back. A Peterbilt, came from California and has a forward facing camera, along with two on my mirrors looking towards the back/sides and one on the back of the cab looking at the load/trailer (flatbed).
Disney security keep asking me what’s in the windscreen, I tell them its a special speed radar detector.
If they ever catch on that’s its a camera which can be played back, I’d probably be water-boarded ffs.
Talking of Volvo’s my mates has a D12 in it with 530000 miles on it. Had to switch it out yesterday for service for another Volvo with a ■■■■■■■ ISX 15l no SCR One Million 200 thousand on the clock original motor, and Eaton Fuller 9 speed box.
But, truth be told even though its a tractor trailer (artic) the most weight its ever carried is about 10 metric tonne.
It runs 450 miles /day 6 times a week, its current driver put 800,000 miles on it.
Rowley, Dai echo’s Scania looks really good.
Regards Paul.
