HI all. Andrew cracking job there on Gabe’s F86. Probably aTD170F and 8 speed range change, not sure if it would of had a crawler!
Same spec as the one we bought off HY-MAC. Probably mentioned before Evan’s of Tredegar bought it off us, not sure what they did with it though. Iirc it was P reg also.
Its raining here today with severe storms forecast, reminds me of Wales Lol.

Regards Paul.

To early to be a TD70 F , would have been a TD70E, with 8 speed box

Hi all in the 80,s as a youngster I shunted with one of the 86 and could fit in it tidy I jumped in the cab the other day ,I was knackered just getting in it my days of small trucks are gone     plus I had to duck getting in I’m Deffo getting old !!!

Hiya Andrew, Happy new Year to you and the family as well as all the Great Lads in S.Wales ! Top job you have done on that F86 Mate, you really are a master of your trade! But only one fly in the ointment Mate  my eyes would water when you sent the Bill !! Only joking, a good job is worth every penny and a crappy job is still a crappy job no matter how cheap it was !Cheers Dennis.

Hi all,
Thanks for all the comments about the f86.this shot is courtesy of Jon Parkhouse from north Devon.in the colours of the Welsh flag,an f10 from evans and Williams letterston.

Hi Andrew, cracking job on the 86, as you can see the truck was handed over to Gabe Harding, Chairman of Gullivers Truck Hire, he did not know the company had commissioned this restoration, I had the pleasure of handing the truck over, along with MD Philippe Harding, his son Oliver and Sales Director Neil, to say he was taken aback was an understatement.

All we need now is an 88    , do you know any?

Evening all,

Gabe does not seem to age…must be a benefit for us "folicaly challenged " males…

Andrew, that is a cracking job, well done…

The F86, the lorry that changed everything in lorry design, what a beautiful little thing they were…you could even hear the radio!..and so easy to drive, and being so short in the leg, well you could put a trailer anywhere…the F 86, really was the game changer for lorry design in Europe. Forget the 88, that catches the imagination, but the little 86 did the job for so many, for so little…she was a gem…

Glad that Gullivers are still going, I always had a great deal of respect for Gabriel Harding.

Cheerio for now.
