hi Andrew - that looks like the High Street in Ross on Wye ■■ - heading out of town, which would have been the old A40 prior to the Ross Spur being built - its up towards the Royal Hotel, the big white building next to the church, which is what you can see coming down the Spur on the left as you cross the river heading towards Monmouth
Cheers

Thanks Graham. They have built up quite a fleet now. I remember when their main heavies were ex Army Scammell Crusaders.

Hi Andrew, You have surprised me there with the fact that JR only had one F88, was it a bad 'un or JR having too much a of a good deal with Atkinson ? South Wales to Consett and a loaded back to South Wales you got to get your foot down on that run…to get the motor back for the nightman! Cheer’s Pete

hi pete,

Hi Andrew,
I can remember the FL10’s of JR’s, they used a lot of them on the Rockwood contract? I can also remember the Sed Atki’s had speed limiters fitted to stop them going less than 70 mph

Hi all,
Back in April 2015 we had a Volvo f86 delivered to us at work.long before that happened,Gabriel Harding the founder and md of gullivers truck hire bought the 10,000th Irvine built Volvo,a 4x2 f86 tractor unit on the stand of the Earl’s Court motor show in 1976.philippe Harding the current gulliver’s md approached us to create a replica of that very unit.i won’t bore you with all the images I have, just these…

Hiya,

Hi Andrew, Agree with Harry top job on the 86, the Merc’s looks just as good but the steering wheel is on the wrong side for me!

HI all. Andrew cracking job there on Gabe’s F86. Probably aTD170F and 8 speed range change, not sure if it would of had a crawler!
Same spec as the one we bought off HY-MAC. Probably mentioned before Evan’s of Tredegar bought it off us, not sure what they did with it though. Iirc it was P reg also.
Its raining here today with severe storms forecast, reminds me of Wales Lol.
