Good morning all, just got registered on the site and making my first posting although looking at some of the names posting on site it feels as if i’m back on the road parked up at the island cafe in Lowton or the orange tree in Walsall.Daibootsy seems to be the oracle of all knowledge regarding transport considering the amount of photo’s he has in his collection and is as keen as when i first met him as a 10 year old when he used to wait for me to get home from trips so he could get close up to my truck pictured on page 434 of this site along side of another truck belonging to Kenny ’ the clown ’ Goodridge. Dai came to work with me later on and still contacts me from time to time. Another name I notice on site is rward who I assume is Rowly late of Catnic fame, who I had many a good night with in the past. I am still invovled in transport but pushing a desk most of time although i still get let loose now and again. Just had this kindly sent to me by the wife of the late Mervyn Bevan aka Moscow and her friend Lyn Greatrex, relation to the late John Greatrex of Ely and GJT. They think it was taken at South Wales Switchgear and in front of the F10 is Moscow himself and as yet an un identified trailer mate

Hello All,
Good to see that trailer behind the F10/12,It is a Crane Fruehauf and although a small trailer they were virtually bombproof ,A real pain when the neck had to be detached there were two tangye jacks with special adaptors to lower and raise the bed ,the neck was then supported by packing blocks between the chassis and neck,A hard work trailer.

I did wonder how he would manage in the u.k.with our roundabouts? Even with a steering trailer.must be near 20 plus metres long.i would have loved to have had a drive

Ah, we’ve had bigger trucks than that round here driver, . Before Christmas Plantspeed were running wind turbines up past Cwmcarn.
