just a test to see if it works.
HI, Pete 359 , Have you heard off Steelboy F10 or know whats hapend to him ? Cheers Barry
Hi there, new here, and have not had a chance to go through all 500+ pages, but as I started my British driving career in South Wales, I thought I add a few.
Started with David Thomas and Son, from Waunarlwyd, (previously Iltyd Thomas). Run then by Andrew, David’s son. Nice people to work for, gave me that crucial break when I was stuck in the ‘no job-experience, no experience-no job’ cycle. first truck a horrid day cabbed Ford Cargo tractor, with sleeper pod on roof… Twin splitter box too…
Needed to move on, worked for Merlin out of the steel works briefly, and worked variously for John Pearce from Glynneath (still going), R S Fowler from Cardiff, Ken Jones out of Port Talbot, before escaping to Wiltshire.
Happy dayz
Edit to add, I also spend an ill advised 18 months driving buses for First Group, mainly West Swansea never again

Dont think it,s abercynon as i live there,it is the Old Bwl above Ynysybwl the back road that will take you to llanwonno and ferndale as well as to mountain ash,it is a bit on the tight side for sure.
Lets go back to the 60,s or 70,s…instead of all this modern crap.

Regards andrew.
That bridge near Garth bakery is locally known as the Quarter mile bridge,I seen my fair share of mishaps there over the years.
After glyn john had finished with PTX 297R it was bought by LLan concrete frm Ammanford. I had the pleasure of driving it and working on it on the odd occasion.
