sorry mate, I meant Illtyd Thomas, I went in Watkins yard once 3 am to pick a trailer up for 8 am tip down newton abbot.

Thanks Dai, that yard is still there ,now let to various firms & still owned by J.M,s son John Watkins,you probably know that there are two books on South Wales Transport companies,“Road Transport Gwent” which has Watkins lorries on front cover,the other is “Road Transport South East Wales” both by Paul Heaton.

You can get them from some of these outlet discount book stores ,i think there’s 5 in the set I bought them for £ 4.99 each in Llandudno .

Those KMs like the 6 wheel Traders before them did a lot of cable work out of Port Tennant , and regiulars on the Brecon Leominster route regards Keith .
