This is Cockett 1930, the sentinel came from Llanelly, looks like he,s had a night out… , the Cockett Inn pub is on the right. this strectch of road leads to Illtyd Thomas yard.

Alfred Mc Alpine. they had a mix fleet of tippers, but later change to DAF Trucks.

I can just about remember them When I was about 10yrs old.
We used to get skippys down the dock road at l/pool till the big sgt (police)
gave us a whack with his stick.There is one in the new museum.I think it was one of Griddle’s tpt.

That’s a cracking photo Dai. What nice clean fleet they had. A E Evans rented a bit of space in their yard in the 70s so we could steam our tanks out.
