Hi Andrew, I’ll try and put together what I know about Monarch’s history,it was a long time ago so I probably won’t remember all that happened. Are there any other ex Monarch drivers out there and does anyone have any photos

living in Perth Australia, he drove an atky, then Aa foden. Monarch transport took over Rewbrigde transport.

Hi all,
Is it just me having trucknet trauma at the moment  when I can successfully log in  ,trying to post photos is also a bit hit and miss   :laughing:if you see this  Samat have a fairly large tanker fleet based at Barry dock.

Hi all, I drove for Monarch when they had just moved to Pyle, and also from Neath Abbey when they took over Rewbridge. A new manager, Gareth Williams (I think) took over from Bob Ireland and John Harris. They sold my old 110, PMW179H and I ended up driving S80 Fodens DUH582L and OKG123M. At least they were better to drive than the Atki’s. Vince Porter(Porterloads) worked in the office. The ex Rewbridge Dodge V8s were painted orange, unfortunately I had to drive them occasionally.

Andrew,
the site doesn’t seem to be running very well at present.
Neil.

I think thats like it having its own haulage yard to run out of rather than sharing one with other firms.
Neil.
