Evening all,…Stan Ross…now he had an ability to get me as “tight as a drum”, and send me on my happy way back from Cardiff with some worn out piece of Welsh junk, as a part exchange against some “wonderful” Black Country Atkinson, (AEC, Leyland, or whatever), and without the “alcoholic influence” that I had imbibed…well I would never have realised that it was worn out before I left Cardiff city limits!!

Now combine Stan Ross`s dulcet tones with those of Lew Lewis, (the Coil Carrier King of South Wales), and a "simple Black Country lad was lost!! Grief,… the rubbish that I took back up the road to England… Whatever did I do with it■■?

I cannot remember,

Maybe some Bollinger will help me to remember!!!Cheerio for now.

Illtyd Thomas,Swansea Eddie - just a guess though, the livery looks familiar when they ran under another name?

Hi Chris that livery is McMurdo’s she had a complete repaint at the paintshop before coming to the yard so I dont know what her livery was. Eddie.

It could have been one of David Saunders from Llamphey,Pembroke who ran a lot of ERF’s.
Cheers Dave.
