Good story to those pictures Andrew, especially the borrowed trailer. From what I’ve heard a lot of trailers went a bit further than they were meant to in those days and many never came back.
Neil.

I’ve been told a lot of units never came back as well, plenty of hired one’s ended up dumped out there.

Hi Andrew
I know a guy that did a lot of middle east work, and he said a lot of the hired stuff was just left where it broke down, or where they had finished with it. Then other hauliers robbed them for spares.
cheers
John

No Andrew thats a 6x2 rear lift that RE Owen had from new, it was recently restored in honour of Mr Ted Owen who passed away last year. The 141 has been done too. No.14 was there but looks the same as she left us as the work is due to start on it soon.

Hi Graham
I take it you were in Stroud Gloucestershire About 10 miles from where I was born, not been there for years, what sort of a job was that doing, you must have had a bit of a game with your outfit down there, Stroud can be bad enough with a normal arctic, let alone something like you’ve got.
cheers
John.
