Songs You Cannot Drive To

Why do Radio 2 play something by ELO nearly every hour, something by Fleetwood Mac every couple of hours?

They play more Monkees tunes than Beatles songs.

Nothing by Bowie, but Frozen sodding Orange Juice by Peter Sarstedt all the while.

Cliff Richard - Paedo talk anymore

Eva Cassidy - as Bono once said, death is a career move.

Ken Bruce was raving about Karen Carpenter the other day. I suppose she wasn’t a bad drummer for a fat lass.

Karen Carpenter was anything but fat yes I do like her voice btw but tend to listen to Planet Rock more these days

WHOOOSH!!!

Nothing by Bowie,

Nothing wrong with ELO.But Ashes to Ashes by Bowie says everything about the Thatcher era and should be enough to make anyone want to jump out the wagon and end it all whenever it’s on the radio. That and anything by Barry Manilow. :imp:

BUSH radio!

My Dad’s still got a genuine (not a modern repro) one of those - he keeps it in his garage and it still works a treat!

old 67:
I know we should be concentrating all the time, but does anyone, like me,turn the radio off without thinking when getting to a busy town and trying to find a drop?

Yep - I’ve always done that, and especially when performing any tricky manoeuvres!

Nimwit Chris Evans and his stupid childish jingles and his talking too loudly at a hundred miles an hour. Hurts my head at that time of day. Trying too hard to be the zaney DJ off good morning Vietnam. Not a song but can’t listen to pompous Feltz. Song wise, that annoying song by Steve Harley that Steve wright plays endlessly.

Jolene by dolly parton i have to turn it off as soon as i hear it. Steve wright should be pentioned off with the talking and singing over the songs was glad to hear johnathan ross covering today. Oh and andy bush from absolute radio cant srand him.

Alway turn of Drive by The Cars just cant listen to it any more

Turn off Feltz never listen to Steve Wright never have ( but by then normally asleep or at home

Yep dont have to be town just when I am getting near a drop or reversing alway have done

Anything by George Ezra.

Paloma Faith-Only Love Can Hurt Like This get irritating to say the least

That Sam Smith song ‘Stay With Me’ is really starting to grind my gears.

Have to echo the OP’s mention of that John Legend song as well. I head straight for the mute button everytime.

jeeeez…spooky…same for me…I can listen to the radio a bit abroad because theyr gabbling in hurdy-gurdy and I cant understand it,but the speech pronounciation is similar so it gets binned after a while…I download any tv prog I want to watch,i.e every episode of the simpsons, advert free…internet piracy is a blessing…

Winseer:
Anything on a radio station with adverts on it. Can’t stand adverts. I rarely watch live TV (other than the news) for the same reason.
