In any event, I would say that it’s a given that the operator will be receiving a surprise visit from a minibus-full of the VOStApo in the next few weeks.
And why would that be ? they don’t even know nothing about it.
Unless they read here…and look at the pics !
Drive it on, it’ll be alright.
Nah seriously, it’s funny how some jump to the conclusion that a dirty lorry is mechanically unsound. It’s the nature of muckaway in my (albeit limited) experience.
People go on about these 6 weeklies, isn’t it actually a 1000 miles or 6 weeks which ever comes first?

I doubt it. I’ve done just under 2000Km this week in 4 shifts and our fleet doesn’t get serviced 2/3 times a week.

I stand (well sit) corrected
I hope to god that VOSA don’t use the Harry method of deciding who to pull. Mine is the only clean truck on the fleet at our place and that’s because I take it out of my way to get it cleaned. The rest of our lot don’t appear to give a toss. Having said that, 95% of our fleet is less than two months old and all have been into the dealer to have something rectified. I spent 6 months in a 58 plated artic which looked like it had done ten rounds with Tyson and I never saw a dealer except for six weekly servicing.
