I need explanation, as I still do not understand some signs in Britain.
For example: what should I do if I see sign sayin “no street lighting midnight - 5am” and it’s 2 am and lights are on? Should I pretend that I drive in darkness? Or should I adjust a clock on my dashboard?
Or what purpouse is for the sings “end of “no entry for lorries””? Is that information for me that if I was having shortcut through some country lanes with my 26 tonner, now I can defend myself “it’s not true, officer, I entered this way, but as there was “no entry for lorries” sing, i made an u-turn and I am heading back the same way!” and I will be able to get away with it?
Or if I see the matrix signs saying “lane closure - slow down” and the yellow sign below it saying “sign not in use” should I ignore the message and continue at 70 at the lane I am in?
The other fascinating one is a red sign saying “if the red light show, wait here”. Does it mean that I do not need to wait for a green light when no such sign is present?
Please explain these to me as I am still not sure how should I react and I am affraid that I might cause some unconvienience to other road users if not danger
I have to mention, that these British sings are really confusing. I never forget my dissapoitment when I realised that this “free cash” drawed out of the machine in the wall actually comes from my own bank account. I am so glad, that nobody seems to be using this bloody machines, because otherwise I would be starving!
And signs that warn about potholes, why dont they fix them then.
Free range eggs, can you get done for not paying for them,a sign for a theatre showing the musical of The Fidddler on the roof,me thinks it was Gary Glitter gone in the tiling business.
orys:
Oh yes? I just thought that this means that they are slow, so you might need to wait for a while when they cross the street…
Nah if they are in the street then you can slowly drive over them, just make sure you stop and report it afterwards, otherwise you will be in big trouble
