Come to think of it apart from that Fiat, I’ve had some half decent cars in my time, (as well.as a few sheds ) some of which would be worth a bit now if I still had them.
Mini Cooper S old style.
Triumph GT6 2 litre.
MGB.
Ford Capri GT XLR.
Ford Capri 3 litre.
Jaguar XJ6
Jaguar XJS.
6 month old Vauxhall Cavalier SRI
Then a succession of crap piles when things were pretty bad.
Then…
Saab.
Vectra Elite Diesel.
Joined the Mr Average Mondeo (Eco model) nowadays,( just because the boy is a Ford Tech, so it’s cheap maintenance, not a bad car tbf but nothing fancy.)
Hoping to upgrade to a new model type Titanium X Mondeo next year, …but have to see how things go as I’ve a high maintenace blonde wife to keep.
I had a Fiat 132 in the mid-1980s which I had to scrap because it failed the MOT on a corroded headlamp and a replacement from Fiat (the only place which sold them) would have cost about four times what the car was worth. It was also corroding like mad, it’s still the only car I’ve ever owned which had rust holes in the roof.
Although long retired I have a 1931 Austin 7 RN , a 1939 Austin Ruby ( the 50th Austin 7 produced) and I am currently restoring a 1937 Austin 7 Pearl Cabriolet.

I’m retired now so plenty of time to tinker.
I have a 79 Scimitar GTE which is parked now until the weather gets warmer, needs work for mot.
Decided to make a one third scale 40ft flat trailer so that’s taking my time at the moment.

A surviving Long Range Desert Group WB Chevrolet in the Imperial War Museum.
Nice, very nice. A real rarity these days. Where on earth do you find spares?
Its best to join a owners club and facebook group for spare parts, also stuff comes up on ebay.
Body parts for the Citroen CX are available from specialists in Germany and Holland but are very expensive while mechanical parts are a bit easier to find.
Karmann ghia mechanical parts are identical to a VW Beetle and just about everything is available and cheap but quality varies. Body parts are very expensive but available.
The BX and Saab parts can be found on Ebay and specialists in the UK and not to expensive if you search around although few panels are available apart from aftermarket repair panels for the Saab.
I like that a lot. What is it? I’ve always been a fan of unusual classics
It’s a fiat 132 I believe there’s less than 10 of them on the road in the UK.
Wherever I go it gets people talking about what it is or they had one years ago

Yeah Italian cars of that era had severe corrosion Problems especially in our climate a lot of 132s were scrapped for the lampredi twin cam engine which was a popular choice for kit cars and modifying Morris minors.
Mine was imported from Malta in 2015 and had been waxoyled from new so is in fairly good shape.

Brought a souvenir back from my home city of London after fifteen years frontline service. Needs doing up a bit and will be our family runaround.
That’s some thing I fancied doing a few years ago when the kids were small, they didn’t have people carriers then so it seemed like a good idea. But the only ones I saw for sale , that I could afford , were well past their sell by date. Bought a Bedford minibus instead, not one of my better decisions.
