So whatcha get then?

I`m actually crying as i write this. Christmas is a time for giving, and when your own family are as tight as can be, it just takes the biscuit, excuse me whilst i wipe my eyes, anyway, as i cant afford to put the heating on, one of my children bought me a packet of cough sweets, she said it would increase circulation, and thereby make me feel warmer. Another daughter bought me over her left overs, as i couldnt afford to buy my own xmas dinner, and as she had visitors over, she had a lot to spare, she did tell me that she normally makes a soup after, but she would sacrifice that this year. It doesnt taste so good cold, and my hands were so cold, i couldnt light a fire in the garden to heat the dinner, but beggars cannot be choosers eh !
One of my other daughters, had brought over a couple of beers, apparently she was trying out a new brand, and as they were open, because her guests didnt like them, she thought of me, sitting at home with nothing.
My next door neighbours, turned the volume up on their tv, so i could at least have some xmas cheer,. i do like the carols, but they were sometimes overcrowded by the sound of their laughter, but theyre not really selfish people.
My other daughter, came round, and gave me a jumper, she was on her way to the charity shop with some donations ( how thoughtful ) and wondered if i would like some extra warmth, its 2 sizes too small, but its the thought that counts.
And lastly, my youngest was on her way to the shop to buy some cigarettes, i live a few turnings away, and i was obviously on her mind when she saw someone throwing a christmas pudding in the bin, the woman was asked why she was wasting food, and said it was because they were so full up that they couldnt eat another crumb, i am so glad to have such thoughtful children, who have been raised to think of others, especially her dear old dad, but no presents this year, but none can replace the kindness shewn, maybe next year i may be more fortunate.

As my darling missus was rushed into hospital the night before xmas eve which interupted her shopping I got nothing really special.
Some nice quality headphones, some nice insulated gloves, some good DVD’s, a complete car care kit (which will never be used because no body else in the family gives a toss about taking care of our cars), lot’s of British fancy food’s etc … Most important I got my adorable wife back out of hospital before Christmas day
I got her a few little things because I am useless ate choosing things for her and one bigger thing … A Karaoke system which she loves and is continuously driving me crazy ever since

a 5mm wetsuit
