I have also realised my mistake in mentioning Redcoats policing the lowlands of scotland but you get my drift, the English were a often sent to do this as a means of stopping the cross border raids.
Yeah right and what happened after Culloden was just a ‘bit’ of ‘cross border policing’ and it’s more than a co incidence that the Red Coat army made quite a name for itself in ‘other’ places not just Scotland for it’s Waffen SS type methods.Not surprising considering where the orders were coming from being a German Royal.As,I’ve said,the union was built on force and murder not democratic choice.It’s been a long time coming but now that looks like it’s finally going to be put right. 
Cant belive a Scotsman is trying to say that despite how the union came about, it was eventually responsible for pulling Europe out the dark ages.
You seem quite bitter towards your own country who spent the first 1100 years AD as the most oppressed on the planet, anybody who fancied a bit of ■■■■■■ and plundering abroad jumped on a boat and conquered England. lol

No not bitter at all just,as I’ve said,I was brought up with a strong sense of knowing right from wrong.As Churchill said it was the Battle of Britain which was our finest hour and that includes everyone from the bakers to the Spitfire pilots… 
and this lot want to run a country on their own!
There again they can’t make as big a bollox as successive governments down south!
