I smoke but not in the lorry. I have one when I get to the delivery point. By doing this, it makes me the better driver as I have both hands on the wheel and drive perfectly 
People who smoke behind the wheel leads to bad driving, which leads to the driver having his mind elsewhere ie: fanny etc
Sorry ! I was going to comment, but as i`ve kicked the habit of smoking for 3 months , i cant really say a lot, except, sorry for the strong smell of peppermints, and if you find ■■■ ash in your truck, especially over the dash…its not me. and i did all of this without even a hint of electronic, patches, or other smoking aids, so good for me…but no applause please.

So dessy, what’s your line on smoking in somebody elses motor who is a non smoker, do they have to “■■■■ it up” after you have used it? just curious.
I have nothing against smokers and agree they need somewhere to smoke, just not in my truck/house/car, I love a pint but wouldn’t ■■■■ in somebody elses motor.Didn’t entirely think that one through

I do smoke but wont smoke in work trucks for a few reasons, don’t have the same unit everyday its shared with the night trunk drivers and if I want a smoke I will pull over and have 1.
Did have the same truck everyday at brakes smoked in the cab got “spotted” by a council do gooder who reported it to HR got called in for “gross miss conduct” one of the pubs I delivered to the manager knew the leader of the council showed her the letter then 2 days later work got a letter “sorry the council was mis-taken!!!”.

I smoked for 30 years and continued to smoke in the works vehicle after the ban was introduced. However as a result of my smoking the vehicles interior was in show room condition because of my OTT cleaning so as not to upset other users. Since i quit smoking 2years ago i have also quit giving the interior the care and attention it was getting and bizarely my cab is probably dirtier now i am a non smoker than it was when i smoked.
