To combat this risk I am dabbling with a trucker flavour of stale BO, wet hot eggy â â â â â and a hint of dried â â â â âŚ
Our depot had to get rid of a van after the driver got his p45. He stunk of BO. Smoked 40 a day. His hiviz was brown. Three of us had a go at cleaning the van but nobody would drive it. The stench was unbearable.
Iâm sure the fruity aroma would be the better choice.

Like I said before trubster people smoking in a shared truck are ignorant and canât seem to understand that most of us donât want to sit in a truck that stinks. Thereâs nothing worse than having a bite of my sandwich and smelling smoke on my fingers from the steering wheel⌠disgusting.
have refused several times to drive a dirty smelly truck (smoke, urine etc), i go to work clean yes it can be a dirty job and not afraid to get dirty. but i dont smoke never have it stinks and point blank wont drive a truck that does.
would rather go home

bet you would get the job if you said that at an interview
although i understand your point but really being a trucker you have to be a bit more rough and ready, the term as rough as a bears arse springs to mind, its not an office job were a shirt and tie and clean fingernails are needed
sadly there are to many ocd sufferers driving trucks these days
And then the OCDs expect everyone else to be as paranoid when theyâre off. I wont leave a mess but leave all the polish, cloths and notes telling me to clean xyz, and youâll find said items exactly where you left them.

how on earth would you ever of survived driving trucks before the smoking ban was brought in ?
i never had a vote on the smoking ban it was brought in without me having a say so i refuse to respect it.

I survived like I do now, walk back into the office and ask for another set of keys

If you ever manage to quit smoking before the cancer or emphysema gets you, youâll realise how much you stink.
You donât strike me as the kind of chap who has the strength of character to quit a longterm substance addiction though⌠so pray for a quick one (the long ones arenât much fun) and rest in peace.

cancer is in us all and can strike anyone at anytime, if you smoke or not or breathe in others smoke will not give you cancer, one day the cancer cells will just kick off and attack your body no one knows why, and if you see the kids dying from cancer who dont smoke you will understand just how hopeless a condition it is in such youngsters.
Well passive smoking and smoking itself have been linked to cancer for quite a while now havenât they? Never mind chronic airways disease and coronary heart disease that might also kill you. There is strong evidence now too:
