Smoking in trucks

I think there are some management posts surplus to requirement here if they are munching around photographing smokers, why dont they smell the cab when no one is around

steverospa:
im not sure but if you drive up and down the M1 , there are a lot of chaps with cameras takeing pics of truck. so me being me asked one wot he was up to, he was a bit offish in telling me, after a bit of chit chat he said he was taking pics of truck drives who are smoking

OK so you met some sad bloke taking pictures of drivers smoking, does this mean you also have to behave like a sad moron and start taking pictures of drivers smoking in the cab ?

Surely you’re capable of rising above this sort of patronising crap and thinking for yourself, if you’ve too much time on your hands look out for the idiots who drive whilst watching video’s, you’ll probably get support from some of the people here for that but taking pictures of smokers is just too sad and pathetic.

By the way I’m surprised ROSPA can’t find anything better to spend their time and money on :open_mouth:

And where exactly on the M1 did you see this? I’m regularly on it between Daventry and London and Daventry and Sheffield and I’ve NEVER seen anyone taking pictures of any sort of vehicle. I’ve not even seen a Traffic Cops film crew at the side of the road.

First things first I don’t like people who grass or snitch, whatever you want to call it. Like everyone else I see those that are perhaps doing things they hadn’t ought to be and I’m not talking about smoking. My view is that it’s their licence, job etc and it’s their lookout.

But is it just me or is this turning into an attack on dyslexia.

I thought the moderators might have had something to say, like when everyone started gypsy bashing (although I note that one has joined in). Maybe it’s not so close to home this time!

Sorry but It had to be said, by all means attack me like a rabid terrier.

i don’t think this has owt’ to do with spelling and pronunctuations my friend,if you read the “majority” of replies you’ll find they refer to “photography” and “grassing” etc…not much time for them sorts on here i’ll think you’ll find…although you may find one or two in “total agreement” with your comments…a.smoker p.s. better luck with future postings

I don’t think you read the post properly, you completely missed the point :unamused:

I personally don’t like the idea of anyone taking pics of me and reporting me to the authorities. I do not like dyslexics. I love gypsies.

How can you dislike anyone simply because they’re dyslexic? :open_mouth:

And then there’s the many gypsies who choose not to learn to read and write.

Who do you respect more those who can’t or those who won’t ?

Just to bring this back on topic here’s my views;

If a vehicle is only ever used by one driver (as is mentioned on page one) then I think it’s fine to smoke in a vehicle. But I don’t agree with it if the vehicle is used by other drivers. My reason for this is that I can’t stand the smell of smoke, if it was strawberry scented then I wouldn’t mind. But I just hate getting into a vehicle and as soon as my arse touches the cloth seat, a nice big puff of air is released that just stinks…it just puts me in a bad mood until I can go home. And I hate it when other drivers feel that it’s ok to smoke whilst I’m in the vehicle…that’s the worst thing I think.

Fortunatley i can like or dislike who i like, or who i don’t for whatever reason i like or don’t like. Just like you can
But i’ll go with the concensus of opinion here, i find it distasteful in the extreme that someone should want to go about taking pictures of people smoking in a lorry and dob them in for it, even though some of them may be perfectly legally doing so.
Steve can also freely go about doing such activities, just because he wants to.
And really i’m just joking , i do have a lot of time for dyslexia. Only last week i was approached by a dyslexic group to do a charity run for them, i told them to put it in writing and i’ll do it. See everythings not as it seems , i’m a nice guy who likes everyone

steverospa:
For my quote ( I said I had a chat to the bloke) I did not say were or were I stoped, you put in I stoped on the hard should in a truck Harry , not me. Like I say you jump to concluetions of wot I do and say. It’s there for all to read wot you put and iv said

Oh, I see. I thought you meant he was taking photos of trucks travelling up and down the M1, I presume that I was wrong and it was trucks in the services he was photographing?

I think that you might be the simple one here mate.
Any way I’m off for a ■■■, and I do not mean YOU.

I am a none smoker, but alot of the firms drivers do smoke, and sometimes we go with each other if we are to hand-load/unload the truck. If the other driver/passenger wants a smoke thats fine by me. As long as they open thier window. I do not hate the smell of smoke, so even if some blows my way I don’t complain. But I do not like people who blow the smoke towards you out of spite.

Cheers

If anyone did that to me in MY truck (if I’m driving it it’s mine until I hand the keys back) they would be going headfirst out the window with their packet of ■■■■ shoved up their arse. Same as anyone who lit up without asking.

In fairness, those aren’t really skills you need to equip you for a lifetime of thieving diesel.

no more ■■■■ taking off dyslexic or gypies or thread will be locked.

Me and Mike don’t really hate dyslexics, we were just using irony.

Same as I often ask Mike about his curly perm and his tracksuit and his house-full of stolen hubcaps just because he is from Liverpool.

It’s just humour, innit?

He would probably be more usefully employed studying the basics of the
so just how exactly does smoking make it dangerous to drive?
