Or could have used whitechurch lane to get right onto whitechapel rd.Admittedly can be tight sometimes with parked cars/vans etc.
on seeing other pictures posted … If he had just gone down the road 100 yrds it wouldn’t look so dramatic … its all due to the signage saying keep left turn left no right turn …having a 10mt cheese wedge rear steer he would have had no problem turning anywhere…
Like I said 100yrds down the road and spin it
Silver_Surfer:
What a load of sensationalist BS from the Daily Mail.
Well, heavens to betsy! You do surprise me.
An eyewitness said: 'It was disgusting, outrageous driving
I watched the video but I must of missed the bit where he had his ■■■■ out the window or naked
but yeah looks like he was avoiding the weight restriction ■■■■ if you do, damned if you don’t
Mark my words - following his sat-nav, and it is a probably TomTom 5150.
I know the junction well enough and my sat-nav is convinced I can turn right there.
Seen it on Twitter few yesterday on one of this kind of pages which popped out as a suggestion

As usual,trial by media!
Every man and his dog is a ■■■■■■■ expert when it comes to driving, especially in London.
One of our drivers had a session with some knobhead on his way to Tottenham this morning.tried to overtake our motor on roundabouts a couple of times, then followed our driver to the depot and accused him of cutting him up!
The sooner they ban trucks from London the better!Drop everything off on the M25.
Wasn’t me
I see in that Daily Mail article that they are looking for more incidents of “dangerous driving”, that paper is pathetic, would they be interested if it was a car?? No they wouldn’t I bet. It’s just a rag that paper.

If he was, I hope for his sake he says he wasn’t, not allowed to use them at Tesco
Its all the illegal immigrants fault, if only Diana was still alive she would make all the goods magically appear in the stores in the twinkling of a eye … like the way the wagon ‘carrened’ round … merchant bankers …
Daily Mail !!! wouldn’t use it to wipe my arse on …
Careens…wow!
Sensationalist drivel from a nasty rag.
Can’t be bothered to read the comments or watch the vid.
The bit written under the last phot say’s all I did to know about the aim of the article…
“The lorry careens round the corner, as the pedestrian runs to avoid the vehicle”
Good driving! Central London is difficult sometimes but this chap did well. I’d love to hear the “authorities” comment on this!
Where once upon a time we would have been admired for neatly getting out of sticky situation, now we are the anti-christ.
A while back it would have been “you should have seen that artic bloke, got his truck into Bloggs alley, just needed a couple of shunts” - now it’s all filmed and we’re made to look like prats at every available opportunity by utter dix, some of them don’t even have a driving licence.
Everybody who passes their car test should be taken to an airfield, placed in an autobox artic and told to drive around some cones etc for half an hour.
And as somebody sensibly said on here recently, have public education films back, about everyday stuff including give large vehicles more room at junctions and the fact that alot of road markings in towns and cities are laid out for cars and are impossible to adhere to in LGV’s.
Rant over, off for a lie down now
I’m gonna try and find out if any action was taken against the driver, I can imagine there was a knee jerk reaction to the publicity from Tesco, hope not as the guy didn’t do anything wrong as far as I can see.
Nothing wrong with it?
Except the many breeches of traffic laws

Slap on the wrist @Dagenham/TRG from what I hear they can’t afford to sack any drivers!
Thank god it’s a thurrock trailer then.
Theres been a few sacked at dagenham.
weeto:
that manouver may be on his route plan to get to the Toscco express store down that road, and may be the best route to get to it in a truck!
The risk assessment clearly states use lemon st/mansell st to return to the A11.
Plain lazyness.
This has only made headlines & caused outrage because it’s a Tesco lorry. I bet if it was a Sainsbury’s wagon, for example, or anyone else did the same thing the press wouldn’t have been even slightly interested in this saddo’s video.
