thats why we should be on 8 hours a day
6 hours.
F-reds:
6 hours.
+1, maybe a bit less in this heat, sleep like a baby in the colder months.
4-6 hours.
Then sponsored by Red Bull for the rest of the day
4 hrs is enough for me, coffee and coke as in cola you understand for compensation.
Do need a catch up now and then though.
When I did days survived on 5 hrs no problem now on nights need at least 8 or I’m a shambles Usual Sunday night for me now is bed for 11pm get up Monday 4pm ready for night shift
I get six to Severn hours and I get a power nap most days.
My mate starts at 00:30 hours on a Monday and doesn’t go to bed till at least 9pm and that’s after been up all day Sunday,I think he is doing himself long term damage with lack of sleep as he only sleeps for 4 hours at the most on other nights but he says he manages but he is totally shot at the end of the week.
I feel rough with less than 7. I find I struggle to sleep if my pattern is changed which is part of the transport world unfortunately. It screws me up quite a lot now where as when I was in my twenties I could survive with little sleep.

And wait for the heart attack
imm lucky to get 6 hours even then i wake up a few times imm a restless sleeper slightest noise wakes me i think over the years i have just got used to it
7 hours for me and I sleep through anything and usually do, I also sleep anywhere.
8 hours but can do 7 + 1 in the day
This is why its up to the driver as to whether they reduce their daily rest or not especially when at base
I used to get by on 7 hours when I worked nights in the warehouse, then when I started driving here it was about 5-6 hours. Now I’m away all week I have about 4 hours on a Sunday night I usually try to grab an hour at Medway services on my way down to Dover. Then the rest of the week I can usually have 8 hours at least. I have been known to sleep 13 hours on a Monday night lol.
Eight hours, more or less. Even if that means being in bed by eight pm. People who think they do well on four, five hours are kidding themselves.
2 hours sometimes, not enough but always ring my good lady on her way home from work as its not well lit so thats 10.45pm then if im in for 2am its not good.
Had 2 hours last friday night then in for 2.15am Wolverhampton to Torquay and 2 in Plymouth got back on 9 hrs 51 and as work is the next day was Blackpool Preston Burnley and Accrington .
Slept well sunday night tho

Not everyone is the same - member coffeeholic needs much less than I do as we discussed in a thread some time ago
I like 7 but can get by on 6. If I exceed 8 one night I’ll struggle to sleep the next. I set my alarm for 7 hours even if I don’t need to get up.
Seven hours in my bed, two hours on the bunk.
