Sir Terry Wogan has passed

Very sad, a great and humorous character who was a joy to listen to, RIP Sir Terry.

 Eurovision was never the same once he left

very very sad a passing of a true radio friend, and a great charity fund raiser

This is really sad news as there must be loads of us on here who have travelled thousands of miles listening and laughing with Tel on Radio 1 and later Radio 2. He made getting into a cold cab on cold dark morning just that bit warmer with his wit and his very real outlook on life.
R.I.P. Sir Terry.

Very sad news. Terry’s Chuffer Daniels and his Janet and John stories were priceless.

Absolutely. The day his breakfast show finished on Radio 2 was the day I re-tuned to Radio 4. I loved the gentle humour, and the easy way he talked to you rather than at you unlike his motormouth successor on that show.

The “Janet and John” skits were classics; for the sake of other road users’ safety I usually pulled up for a 15 minute break while they were on, lest I crash the truck from laughing too much.

A legend of the airwaves who bought joy to millions. RIP Sir Terry.

Such a legend many a mile passed with smiles on my face listening to him and the team. Janet and John story’s making tears roll down my cheek, looking at others laughing at the same thing. True genius who will be missed. R.I.P Sir Terry

Couldn’t have put it better.

I remember sitting at lights laughing at Janet and John and seeing other drivers laughing as well. :grimacing:

Not really , it’s always been there it’s just they know more about it and lump it under the Big C .
Unfortunately he so say retired but kept going , he should have just stopped and enjoyed life much like Mr Nice to see you to see you nice …

Sadly I couldn’t stand the bloke much like Janice Long she get up my nose .

This is so sad. I remember listening to him as mum took us to school, and to be honest didn’t like him then, however as I got older I appreciated his humour more and loved anything he was on. It’s been such a sad month.

Gone is the chance to get him back on breakfast show and rid of GHT evans :imp:

That’s a dam shame. He was a top bloke IMO.
RIP Tel.
As above, rather have him on the breaky show than that loud mouth little ginger ■■■■■■.

Sad news, they don’t make many like him…

RIP Terry!

Same here. Bless ya Sir Terry.

So sad :frowning:

He dedicated the Floral Dance to me on my birthday when I was around 6 or 7. We used to listen to him whilst getting ready for school in front of a tiny orange fan heater (before my parents had central heating installed.
