The transmission wonāt be destroyed by the old diesel putting too much power through it!
I will tell you what, if someone mixes up the oil used in the transfer box and the gearbox, then the trans will noisily die.
For those who donāt know, the R380 manual box needs (surprisingly to me) auto-trans fluid and the transfer box needs 75W/90 GL5.
RoadRangers work rather well with autotrans fluid, too.
