She’s a beaut! Boss colour too!
Ah well I can dream…. one day lol
My neighbour has been eyeing my XF with envy, I went out to work this afternoon to find a beautiful scarlet red XE outside his house in place of his usual car, I’ll have to quiz him in the morning to see if he’s put it in part ex for the Jag.
Took wife’s fiesta st in for service , major service due this time apparently which includes oil / filter & spark plugs for £395 .apparently 1 tire is getting nr limit which is £115 for tire & £75 to track it ( I’ve not had the tracking done on a car for years , £75 sounds a lot of money to me or am I out of touch with prices
I’d do oil / spark plugs myself but wife said it won’t have a full Ford service history then , she’s paying so I guess it’s her decision
I like those xe,s boss hog , much prefer them to bmw / merc
take it to your local tyre place 190 quid for tyre and tracking is stupid money unless its got some silly special tyre on it
I said leave it cooper , will pop it to local place
I can really see us ending up with one of these ( Tesla ) as our retirement car , mrs like them & prices are reasonable these days
My tyres for the Jag were only £110 each. Checking the tracking was free but cost £30 if it needed adjusting. ![]()
Kin ell what’s on it a super single! Tell them to do one. Why I can’t stand dealers these days, rip off merchants. And I’d sooner see stamps from independent specialists on service history if buying a car.
I’m getting 2 tyres and tracking for £150 done today 205 60 15
@bosshogg mine needs doing I clipped a kerb and did a 3 month old tyre in ![]()
Glad it wasn’t my Eynaq that has special 19" pirreli scorpions on and they’re mega money
Tyres on the Mrs Audi just didnt look right on the ramp lift according to my lad, decent tread but strange cracks on the inside, and not appearing to be sat right.
Turns out they were a smaller size (cheaper) and had been stretched over the wheels.![]()
I took the lad s advice and decided to change them.
Upshot it cost me 400 quid + vat…and that was with discount from my lad’s dealership garage
Got to say car handles much better now.
Car was booked in for mot Monday but this week eml light came , apparently it’s a mot failure so had to cancel mot & garage it was brought from have it in weds to look at it ( luckily took out 3 yr warranty ) , hopefully just oxygen sensors like last time , if it’s along journey b it’s going to end up out of mot
Still have a hankering for a 1,000 cc sports bike ( don’t tell the wife , only had this one 5 1/2 months , had a look sat , really liked the fireblade , but £24,000 nigh on , even I can’t justify that
Salesman suggested one of these , cb600rr but not sure it would be much different to 400, winters comming so will have a think next Sumer
After looking at some electric cars the weekend as we’re retiring and going down to 1 car ( thought electric would be cheaper to run than petrol ) wife says she doesn’t like the colours / not sporty , want something like hers , non negotiable
So her idea for a retirement car to match what she had but a bit more practical ( her present car
This is her answer to a retirement car ( she’s 64 in dec ) , never mind the bloody price , does she really need 300 bhp & 4 wheel Drive ( with me to be honest it’s £30,000 for a car !!!)
This bloody retirement lark isn’t as easy as I thought , just get rid of 2 cars & buy 1 !! .
I can recommend Land Rover Defender 3.0 litre petrol or preferably V8.Like driving a bonneted Maggie Deutz that handles like a Lotus Cortina goes like a Hemi Cuda. Will need PCP with a 100 years contract or a lottery win.
How many have you driven?
Your recommendations carry no weight, they’re all straight out of your overvivid imagination.
So why recommend it then. Bell end
