Cleaned it as goes in for new tire tomorrow , loving bike but having big regrets over buying it on pcp , limited to 3,000 Pa miles , already done 2400 in 4 months , so will either have to pay 7 p per mile over the 3,000 limit or park it up , I intend to vt it so even though I wanted to do some modifications to the bike , finically makes no sense
Will be first & last pcp .
I can never do lease, I cover 16000 miles a year, so it would cost me a fortune, the Jag is £140 a month over 48 months finance with unlimited miles. I’m happy with that.
I’ve had similar but worse with the Touran.
Put 8k down two year PCP £325 per month.
10k miles per year. But done 15,000 so far in only a year.
Went back for an early trade in for another one.
Firstly to be told that there’s only £1,800 equity in it to put towards down payment next one.
Only worth £15k trade in but the thing is still retailing at 20k.
They can’t even find another 3 year old 6 speed manual 150 petrol even if I wanted to pay for the rip off margin on it.
Tried to look at swapping for Toareg instead at £38k.
They want mine + 4k down and 3 years at over £600 per month. No chance.
I’ll run it to end hand it back and pay excess miles and replace with an old Merc ML 3 to 5 litre.Run for a year or two and then flog it to WBAC for whatever they offer.
Hand made in Britain unique and got me thinking back to when the Made in Great Britain stamp was anything but unique.
That is a very fine looking motor indeed.
There was a sweet austin healey out last weekend looking in great shape.
I ran a 1974 reg E3 Si saloon during early 1980’s.It was a bit overrated.Steering box and McPherson front end and needed revs to make the power and under geared for distance use.
Putting a 302 Ford V8 in the X pack manual MK2 Granada estate would have been a better car and much cheaper to maintain.
wouldn’t be a CF post without distance being mentioned. Or Soviet.
Distance as in bought and mostly used for Continental touring trips.Ironically for a car that was designed for the autobahn less than 22 mph per 1,000 rpm in top only 4 speed box.
A friendly word. I would say best to black out number plates of personal cars, but up to you.
I’m fine with it mate, just mentioned it to her and so is she…..I think mine is on here as well tbh.
Thanks anyway…..but it isn’t that anybody on here doesn’'t like me .
There ya go double whammy mine as well.
If anybody wants to have some sort of go, bring it on….Not fussed….
But again thanks anyway.(genuinely)
Just found this in my gallery….my first ever car.
Mini 850
It was an old car even then, but a 1 owner, an old dear who only did 28000 miles in it I think it was.
It was a dull grey and my mate painted it blaze orange….’Orange’ being the word as the finish looked like orange peel.
When I passed my test I bought some alloys, with spacers on and it looked the business.
Can’t recall the name of the wheels but they were famous for Minis…anybody?
….I bought them second hand and later found out they had been taken off a Mini that 3 lads were killed in.
It is a small risk but ringers etc might want a reg for a similar car to their own, but that is not in their local area. I reckon the Mini won’t be any danger, but some Herbert with a black Audi and already with a few points on his licence might. As I say not likely but there ya go.
PS Minilites? Wolfrace?
Wolfrace….that was it.
Don’t know about the reg, it’s an L reg 94 plate with her name ANJA spelt out, …I don’t know but I would think a less prominent more recent plate would be mote favourable for such shenanigans? …but it’s out there now anyhoo …..and I like living dangerously.
Jeez just noticed my little dog Kim behind the car…getting all emotional now.
You’re probably right.

Gasp !
Yep first music now cars…
We need to keep away from discussing politics.
Thats an old Cumbria registration number.
First blot on the horizon for my 2023 MG ZS EV! The 12v battery died & wouldn’t take a charge to revive it.
It’s a common problem with all makes of BEVs if you don’t use them regular. Typically it was out of warranty & I had to buy one.
Good old MG quality battery , what did you replace it with ?
In other news my Octavia 1.6d work hack got 606miles on 55 ltrs
