Should I take the truck out

Well my truck is quite big and heavy and there’s lots of people and other vehicles on the roads and I could probally do a lot of damage if I hit something. Do you think I should risk driving on the road or should I just stay in the yard until the firm get all people and vehicles cleared off the route just incase.

Yes.

So long as everybody on the route is wearing a hi-viz vest you should be ok.

Health and safety says wrap yourself in cotton wool and stay in your happy place but make sure it’s Hypoallergenic cotton wool you don’t want any nasty rashes.

I was thinking of wrapping the whole truck in bubble wrap just in case.

Make sure you’re inside the “Bubble-Wrap” otherwise how can the whole sheebang operate■■?

If it’s anything larger than an 18 tonner 4 wheeler you really should have to apply for an STGO before you even think of going anywhere. At least that’s what all the anti LHV lot seem to think. :open_mouth: :smiling_imp:

Solly:

if hes inside the truck he can’t wrap can he! We’re not thinking this through

 FTFY
Then if he wraps it from outside the truck he can’t take it out…eh?

And make sure you avoid any bridges less than 16 ft

Don’t forget your risk assessment

make sure the keys arn’t in the ignition when you start it. there’s a law about that somewhere.

Get them to remove the body, carrying a load raises the centre of gravity and may mean you have to slow for bends or roundabouts, something a professional driver shouldn’t even have to think about…oh and get the cab lowered like one of the airport service trucks, that way you won’t have all the trouble of avoiding bridges over 9 ft.

Happy trucking.

You could fit your truck with Hi Viz tyres, have an ■■■■■■ waving a red flag in front of you, and get the HATO to stop all the traffic on the M25 while you are on it…oh wait, you don’t need a HATO for that!

Never mind about that, KR79, if you live in a house stay in bed; The stairs are more than 1.2m high so you’re at risk of the working from height regs.

remember to stop before each roundabout. wait for your health and safety team to arrive, they will conduct a risk assessment to determine the correct procedure for entering, and exiting the roundabout. after this you will be required to attend a debrief and a psychological assessment. wait 28 days for your results before attempting to drive again.

make sure it`s eco friendly, bio degradeable, fair trade hypoallergenic cotton wool…just to be right

Think of the children !!

Are you wearing a crash helmet while driving,if not,why not,it is the law?And do not forget to ratchet strap yourself in the seat,in case a chile ran out in front of you,and you may go through the windscreen and bang your nut.
Be sure the strap complies with the lates EU gumph, correct labels and restraint complience,or you could be spending the night in one her madges cells,a mate of mine got two nights for having a green strap, instead of the blue legal ones,so be warned.

I need a psycological assesment & debrief after those magic roundabouts with the multiple sattalite roundabouts !
