Had a drop yesterday at a farm at North Wooton near Sherborne.
Coming back towards Sherborne on the A3030, right at the t.junction there is a right turn sign for Truck, bus , and car park, then on a bit further another telling you to turn left…
I thought ok, spot on, town truck park.walk into town for a pint and a feed…bring it on.
I got down to t.junction turned left to railway station (the right turn is a no hgv wt limit)
Is that the actual truck park adjacent to the railway station or what?
Full of cars with nowhere to turn.
So then I thought it was the land next to it, but that is some kind of distribution centre.
I turned in there backed out and gave up.
So if that was not the truck park where tf is it?

Never even SEEN a bloody Sainsburys, too busy looking for a Wetherspoons.
My problem is I lose patience too fast so I just abandoned the job.
Will make enquiries next time I’m there…although I did that last night and a lady sent me to the station car park.

The railway station car park is a definite no no to park or turn around in a truck, not sure why they have put a sign up for lorry parking for that spot, as there is no parking for lorries in Sherborne.
That car park is near to where I used deliver to as I drive past the station and then straight on to a warehouse, when those gates are locked, I would not be able to turn around in the car park.
We had a regular driver to that warehouse who was pally pally with all the staff, you know the one’s I mean, they have a cup of tea waiting for him on arrival but give sod all to anyone else, blue eyed boy he certainly was.
Being all chummy with a client backfired on him one day, as the fire alarm went off, so everyone had to evacuate, he was there all day as there was a small fire but the fire chief would not allow anyone back on site, he couldn’t do the remaining 15 pallet deliveries that day.
