I wouldn’t think twice about lying to an agency if needs be, they’ll lie to you quickly enough.
very good…a distinct lack of flies ![]()
You wont be the first nor shall ye be the last. What would I do…? Needs must when the devil drives…therefore I’d drive. Depends if you have mouths to feed and bills to pay…has been said it’s not like you dont know your way around a truck with 20 plus years under your belt, hardly like you have been thrown in at the deep end.
Why do agencies stipulate this 180 days in 2 years nonsense, especially for experienced drivers who are returning to driving ,after a spell away ?
I was in the same boat as you a couple of months ago but i had not driven a class 1 in over 4 YEARS
but i do have 14 years experience…
no agency would touch me but eventually i found one that would take me on and when i did get back into the drivers seat, everything just clicked back into place and i just felt like i had just been off for weeks holiday !! ![]()
and since ive got my name back out there, im now beating the agencies off with a stick !! ![]()

I fully agree with the above as I did it ,when first starting out…so dont feel awful about it,even if your story is a total fabrication ,of nothing ,resembling yourself in any form ,it will be more truthful ,than anything an agency will tell you
Just go and work for a fella who still wears overalls, he won’t give a rats ■■■ if you’ve had two years off! Get down that road driver

Must just be certain ones because a lot take on newbies.
Also according to previous posts on here over the years some count two years experience as date passed rather than actual 2 years of working.
