I was parked at my usual place in Kent, after calling in at the local Sainsburys to buy some decent sausages, anyway got parked up looking forward to some sausage sandwiches on seeded batch bread, I noticed one of our wagons pull up onto the waste ground I was parked on. The agency driver inside was out of time, he was told by one of our foreigne friends in the planning department that there was facilities in the area, a pub, chip shop and a supermarket. Well there is, all over 2 miles away and this poor bogger was starting again in 9 hours.
Anyway I cooked the sausages gave him a can of lager, he buttered the bread, we ate our food then had a chat for an hour and after thanking me more than enough times, off he went to get his head down.
I’d seen him a couple of times before that night, I would have done the same for any driver from my place, had it been a foreigner from a different company, I doubt I’d have done the same.

The dutch all dope smoking ■■■■ feinds belgans cant drive and mayonaise on chips whats that about. Germans arogant pigs.

Nowt wrong with dope or ■■■■, and you aint lived until you have had mayonnaise

Not going to say OP was right or wrong cus each situation is differnt but I would have been tempted to share…
Different cultures have diffferent ways when it comes to sharing and helping out.
+1
+2 I don’t mind sharing especially when I’m weekended out on the mainland. The small offer of a glass of wine and a bit of cheese is a proper ice breaker. Chances are you’ll be the only brit parked up and I’ve found most foreign drivers to be very generous in return. I guess its a case of when in Rome. Either that or sit or your own bored out of your skull
+1, every time I’ve shared with my fellow trucker I’ve got it back ten fold.
Jamiemufu:
I dont do Euro, so quite frankly do not give a [zb] about their cultures and/or differences. I was in a British Truck Stop with majority of brits parked up in said services. Also is it a cultural thing to be threatening if said no to? Its put me right off foreign drivers. As I said I dont deal with them in my line of work
You come across as a narrow minded idiot, a little less selfishness on your behalf would greatly improve your life.
Its hardly being selfish. If he did not have food, or money, then he should not be euro tramping. And why is it my problem in the first place? Its not. My curtains were closed and I was enjoying my pizza and he STILL wanted some pizza. Don’t care where you are from, but its not on. Next time I see someone with their curtains closed I will just knock on their door and see how that works out. I don’t buy just enough food for myself and think ■■■■, should of bought more for other people.

I am not arrogant, i was annoyed difference
The cafe was shut, he probably didn’t have a phone number to order his own pizza and you got annoyed because he asked for a slice of pizza
Proof there’s no camaraderie left between drivers !

and on that note Denis has just thrown another lamb on the spit roast for tea
Just had a txt from my Romanian mate Igor, he reckons he pulled into a services where cafe was shut, asked driver next to him if he could tell him where he got the pizza from pointing to it, the driver looked a bit annoyed as if he thought he was trying to cadge a bit off him. He thought about it and flashed some cash at him to ask him again, he said the driver came across as a bit of an arrogant knob and threatened to knock his ■■■■■■ teeth out
Anway Igor’s 3 mates rocked up, Boris, Petrov and Ivan, and he says “See him over there he’s a bit of a prick, teeth, knock etc etc” then later the guy gets out of his cab so Boris and his mates thinks he’s out for round 2 and glares at him, telling him to ■■■■ off as he looks like he is out for ag.,
He said that then he went over to his Polish mates and they joined in, so they left to avoid any confrontation commenting on how bloody ignorant and ■■■■ like some Brits are.
Don’t know if it’s same occasion, (ok I made it up ) but there are always two sides and different interpretations to every story bud …just saying

If you had sat around, starving hungry, looking forward to your takeaway showing up (for which you had ordered enough for 1 person) and soon as it got there you had some stranger harassing you wanting a bit, would you not be in the slightest bit peeved? Would you not then get a bit angry if having told this stranger no, he then bangs on your closed cab door continuing to bother you?
I would. If that makes me one of the terrible breed of modern day drivers, then so be it. At the end of the day if your a euro tramper you should be self sufficient and have some emergency scran in the cab, can’t expect other drivers to bail you out by giving away half their dinner. If I had plenty of food to go around (like the earlier poster with the pack of sausages) it might be a different story if the fella was polite enough.
I wouldnt of its a msa theres stuff avalible however crap it is and hes only eating dominoes not a michelin star meal the blokes not homeless and destitute he has a job.
If you was in a pub and some romanian asked for a swig of youf pint you would tell him where go

Never changed the way i look at it. And of course its a set up video, we’re talking here about an employed driver asking for food. I believe nature has over thousands of years hardwired us to "stereotype " people, for our own good. So, rightly or wrongly i follow my instinct . I suppose everyone who says they would of give him some pizza in these circumstances would also give a drop of diesel to some poor guy in the motorway services who was a bit short?
I was parked in a layby in Wigton one evening when a Ukrainian artic pulled up in front of me.
The driver then started cooking his meal at the side of his trailer like they do, he then set up an extra buffet and called me over to share his food.
When I told him my father in law was a Ukie as well that was it, the beer and vodka came out, top bloke he was
