The reason I ask is, that this is the second time I’ve seen this with the caption first 2600 in the country which it couldn’t have been, as that reg would have made it 73/74, I know for a fact the first one I ever sat in was when Dave Barraclough ex Simon Sergent, who was driving for Richardson of Coventry at the time had one on demo on a K plate 71/72, he came in to Banbury Buildings with it and I had left there at the end of 72.

Hi again, good pics Jim…the old 2600 Daf was interesting PPT100M,That got me thinking so into the Daf box I went and came up with these.
Keep the pics coming Jim
Cheers Bubbs,
Did Ray Charles design those Dafs or did someone nick the blueprints from Dennison? Were British built lorries so bad by this stage or were the Dafs super-reliable?

Hi Marc,
Brilliant pics of the DAF’s, as usual, I had AAD 522K as a demonstrator and was told it was the first RHD.
Keep up the good work
Regards
Richard
It must still be one of the best looking trucks ever built!
This was my drive when I worked for “The Vicar”!
And here she is again some time later.
