Who can remember Trebor Transport, Southampton? Not the most reliable of vehicles I would imagine the old Ford ‘A’ Series!!

bubbleman just wondering if you have any pics of dalgety or (dalgety spillers or dalgety crosfields ) as they use to be called working out of avonmouth mill ? or subbies like wyatts , meeks , philips ? this is a pic of my dads F7 working out of avonmouth in the mid 80s

Love the roped on container.

I seem to be getting a lot of red xs recently. Do I need to upgrade or something?

You’re certainly right about that!
I had this when I first started driving. Trouble was, it’s previous driver had used “Easy-Start” on it, and it had become addicted to the stuff.

We ran an A series for about 3 months, a pig to start, and drank the juice. Nice to drive though, replaced it with a leyland terrier.

Hello again,Pimmer73…heres a Marathon of Dalgettys, will keep a look out for some more.

Hope these are ok,

Cheers Bubbs,

hello bubbleman.

you posted a picture earlier of a mack truck with a mention of mack bolton , do you have any pictures of the place by any chance ? the company was known as seven star mack , only i remember going down to the place when i was a youngster and looking over the wall , i still live about a quarter of a mile from where it was . i do believe they later moved to chorley to a main dealer for mack trucks …

Hi Bowser,no mate ,sorry…I only kept the pics of Mack lorries,as I’ve remarked in the past I never thought that 30 odd years after cutting out the pics that the writing bit would be important plus other odds and sods…cant turn the clock back :unamused:
Bubbs,

you’ve posted more than a few important ones bubbs believe me , you’ve posted at least two that bring back memorys for me anyway , and funnily enough one of them was a paper cutting of a mack that my stepdad drove and that was built in bolton , i remember it had a little plate on the inside of the door and it said seven star mack bolton … it may well have been in the yard while i was looking over the wall as a kid.

keep it up chap they are all important to somebody . and a big thanks from me .

Pig ugly but someone must have loved it!

Reminded me of a Bulldog crossed with an ugly Staffie. The abattoir next to me replaced a Bedford J5 with one, the replacement was forever in the Ford workshop

Hi again, heres a few more…look at the length of this old “D” series…I bet that was a fun lorry to drive.

I wonder what port this Frenchman is at…
