IMO this Sed/Atk will have been one of British Gypsum’s own motors and photo’d when new! IIRC Robbie and Alex Boyes had a motor running out of Gypsum when “Fast Eddie” got hold of the job for a while!! Dennis.

Heres the very first artic I drove after passing my class one 22 years ago.

Had just woken up after a night out at Grannox, West Bank Dock Est in Widnes because the night before they had just stopped the 24 hour loading…No one told me!
I turned up at about 8pm & they had all gone home, boy did that place stink!

Horrible lorry with the old 12 speed back to front crash box, day cab, no heater & no door rubbers!
I think that was the coldest Ive ever been sleeping (or trying to) in a lorry.

I only worked for Launchburys for about 12 months & left after a fall out in the yard with the main man!

Hi again, good feedback lads…well done, heres more cuttings.

Hope these are ok.

Cheers Bubbs,

Hi everybody, that beautiful shot of Prestons 401 is as you climb up Lythe bank after leaving Sandsend on the coast road going north towards Gisborough, can’t think of the road number though !
