More beauties Bubbs, especially the 3 James Hemphill motors - excellent thanks as usual
Anyone any idea where the photo of the Horace Kendrick Foden was taken please?
i’d say 99% walsall power station,as their yard which is still there in green lane was only a couple of hundred yards from the power station.which is now a sainsbury’s superstore

this looks like a very early tautliner What depot is LA?
LA was Norwich, based on Hall Rd. It was the only depot code that I knew and it looks like the photo was taken at Norwich cattle market. Regards Haddy.
Hello again,Nice Davis Bros pic Ben,Big Rig…the chap dipping the oil on the Marathon is Graham Montgomerie who was a regular tester for Commercial Motor magazine…more of the same today
Marc please stop apologising as most of us are old and senile that we have forgotten what as been posted previously and those that can remember just enjoy them as much the second time round so just keep posting mate.
cheers Johnnie
It always looked like they had forgotten to fit the Clayton Dewandre handbrake valve, clutch reservoir and Eaton two speed axle button and it was almost an afterthought. The axle button certainly, it was fastened on with a Jubilee clip.
Brilliant photos & Brochures coming through. I remember Graham Harraway havig a new Leyland unit similar to the demo n the pictures, it too had the 2 pedal semi automatic/preselect box.
