That is ugly :imp: I bet he dropped a few miles off the mpg

This is what a Sed-Ak “topliner” should look like, I ran it for about 5yrs and sold it around 1994 to a guy in South Wales, think he worked it out of the steelworks, a guy called Sayers or Sayce, anybody know or remember it.

Would it have made that much difference to the MPG’s?
If the wind didn’t hit the roof extension,it would of hit the front of the trailer and got caught up in the gap between unit and trailer.
I must agree though,it is ugly!

robroy whats the reason for the n.irish reg on the sed atki ?

HI ROBROY

i know a ernie sayce from monmouth who worked out of llanwern for many years. dont know if he had a sed ak though

Yeh you,re probably right, it was just my first thought on seeing it, but I suppose it,s no different to say a high front furniture van body.

I had the plate on a Citroen BXi car and when I sold car I kept plate and put it on the truck thats all, it was originally on an A plate bought from Plevins of Manchester, it had a 300 Gardener in it which developed cylinder head problems, so we sold the engine for export and put a 290e ■■■■■■■ in it, I got more for the Gardener than I paid for the ■■■■■■■ :open_mouth: so it was a result.

Yeh Bazz that was him, :bulb: , I already kind of knew him when he ran out of BSC Gartcosh in the early 80s, he then had an American White I think it was

nice pics bubbleman , really liking the Lionel T phillips pics , that vac feed tanker always held a fascination for me , not least when i saw it being loaded at Pen Mill Feeds once while waiting to load !

any info on this old girl ? this was my very first drive after passing my test back in the day

Scania 112m B515WYD
seen here in B Reyland colours , but was previously orange in her previous life with ex-Yeobridge transport / ex-Stemwest potatoes
i had it for a while till it eventually went bang , not sure if she was worth rescuing or was scrapped , she’d done well over a million kms as she used to be on uk/european duties in her younger days so i was led to believe .

cracking photo proper looking euro fridge outfit :sunglasses:

How did the Gardner perform Rob,i had a 320 Gardner in a D reg Foden with a 9 speed Fuller and that could pull…mind i had just come off an E reg Renault 290 GT?? 6X2, that was the worst thing i ever drove still dont know what the GT stood for
