I’ve got a box of pics which are all odd sizes, mostly press pictures etc,so to give you all a rest from my stuff have a look at these for a change.

I think it’s Leicester Tree Forest as well John as one of my gaffers called it but I reckon it’s the southbound side and the Transcon is heading up the slip into the northbound area.Weren’t Gil-Flex a Hull based rental company?
Some great photo’s today, particularly like this one…
George Blays was a large timber/saw yard in the middle of Honiton, East Devon. Their yard backed-one to the London to Exeter ‘Southern Railways’ mainline. The place closed in the 90s & is now a housing estate.
Also liking the Perry & Perry Mammoth Major tractor, can anybody tell me where they were/are based?

Hiya …red card chris…i,ve just google earthed the services.the north bound off slip is way down the road towards the M69.you would only see greenery
Also if you look close theres no tower with the(ross)sign on the south side. IF its Leicester forest i would stay with the transcon southbound.

John I reckon that "Crusader"was one of the first demonstrators there was one with a different front grill ( unless it is that one and they changed it ) and they ran a while before the 4 wheel units made a bow they were 6x4 V8 D/D powered
The picture of the services could be L forest as it as been changed before the M69 was built you came down to the junction about half a mile after the exit and there was not many Ross service areas especially with a restaurant on the bridge and looking at the car exiting it could have been taken in the 70s

Get well soon!! Andrew Stone.
Apparently Perry & Perry were based at Beaminster Dorset and sold out to ECC group in 1973.The AEC was used for feeding readymix plants with aggregates and later in life ended up as a wrecker in Gloucestershire.
I remember Perry & Perry hauling material in the 1950s for the dam being built at Clatworthy in the Brendon Hills of West Somerset, using original ERF diesels from the late 1930s.
I grow old, I grow old…
Hi Bubbs I drove that rd 110 a few years back I am pretty sure thats the one mrken done up for them and it went to a musuem if not it was another with that SRT no plate

That Laings trader looks the part for a tipper, not to sure about the dodgy looking guy driving it…
Don’t be hard on the Lad “altitude” I think he was the foreman and his grimace was just as he lost his footing and landed on his a*** in the slutch,he should have let the Trader’s regular driver make the pose!! just because he was the foreman and had a tie on!!! Bewick.
