LCG920T the only 141 that Sparks had…It went on to live with Davies Transport in Southampton…theres a rear shot of it on their thread on T/net.P16
Hope these are ok.
Cheers Bubbs,
Jameson had a similar number Scania as did Sea Route Ferry all supplied by Ian Andrews Unit Commercials Salisbury
Thanks for the Davis and Poulters Mercs remember both of them well.
Cheers, Ben.
Super shot of the Poulter Merc Bubs I sure can remember them from the 60s they were always in deep lumber with the Traffic Comissioners! Kept the trade mags and papers in good copy for years! If I remember the Davies’s ended up with one company based in the North east with about 10 motors I think it was called Larrow Transport Northern and the motors were red (I think).Keep up the good work Bubs you are a Star!!!Regards Bewick.

Cheers Bubbs,
Hi Marc years ago I bought a damaged LB series cab from Unit Commercials at Salisbury and I seem to remember them saying it came from a 141, we used the back half to convert a Molo’s day cab tractor unit into a sleeper
Seen here with John Shaw a fitter/driver who was with me for many years.
I thought I had seen that red and white Scania before somewhere.
He’s another one the same from the book ‘European Trucks’ by David Jacobs
Still no further in finding out who owned them though.
Hello again,Well done Pat,I had it in my head that the Sparks 141 had a prang but could’nt remember where I read it…John Shaw looked like a good all round employee. The cream/red Scanias identidy is still a question…all 3 have Essex regs…good one Jamie.Heres todays bits.

Visitor from Ireland,Rowlands 111 in Canons Marsh.
We chopped a Charles Alexander DAF up like that and made it into a sleeper cab, the window fitter struggled to get the screen to seal but otherwise it was a piece of ■■■■. Before we tagged the two bits together the day cab truck did two trips to Stanley Bull in Charlie Alexander colours. Someone must have seen it & taken a picture, even if only to prove the Brits are mad
Cracking pics again Marc. Harry is going to like all those Scania’s,it’s a pity you haven’t got a few more smaller one’s for him to see when he returns from his holiday .
Cheers Dave.
Hello again,Dave I’ve ran out of the little 80s/81s…well the ones I took pics of,when I go into the box of clippings there may be a few more in there…Harry has a soft spot for them really.Tony…good stuff…I wont be here for most of next week so I’m relying on stuff like that to be put on while I’m not here
Getting very close to the end of these square pics,I didnt plan to put so many on…it was easier to look in the shoebox where they live and drag a few out.
Duckhams ERF seen at Aust services.

SA commercials Hire motor.
Avon truck hire,a lot of their motors ended up with local hauliers when they got sold on,they were an offshoot of the local Volvo dealer at the time which was Heathfield Commercials.
Finally,I found this pic which is for Ben and Dennis,I love the Leyland tank on it.
