Hi RJ,This 110 was took in the lorry park of the then Avonmouth Transportel which is now the Truckstop, next door was Leonard Stamps who had a tank wash so I would imagine the Smithers ERF was in for a swill out…the yard is now GKN palletts.I’ve a feeling the Scania was owned by Jim Alford from down your way,Pat (aniacs) might know as he probably supplied bits to Jim or he may well have dismantled her…that’ll get his grey matter working

The MAN pic,I must confess is not one of my pics mate so sorry no info on it… :unamused:

Cheers Bubbs.

Is this a Bussing cab with a three pointed star on the front?.Turkish engineering knows no bounds.
On one occasion In Istanbul I saw a Volve F86 with a Gardner 180 badge on the front!

Hi Bestbooties,

Nicht Büssing, ein Henschel.

Finally 2 pics of Chivers Transcon BAE111V in Bristol fruit market.Cheers Bubbs.

The reg is not too clear on this or the other Chivers Transcon, earlier on in the thread.but to me they could be BRE rather than BAE.
BRE is a Stoke on Trent reg.
When Brit European had a pair of Transcons they were regiostered PDM which is a Chester reg.
A bit of a coincedence that I had one of Brit’s Transcons,Dave Prosser from Trowbridge had thw other one. When Dave left Brits,he went driving for Chivers.

Mein Fehler, schade. Aber ich wusste, dass es bestimmt nicht ein Mercedes war!

Hello,Hey Ian,I can see where you’re coming from mate,I still think its BAE…heres the original Chivers Transcon,

Not a clear pic so lets see it a bit later on in life.

perhaps a clearer pic but definatly BAE.

A sharper shot and only a few numbers away from BAE106V,but the computer type number plate makes it difficult to see…AE is a Bristol pefix and all the pics were taken in Bristol.
Ian,you’ve even got me getting the magnifing glass out

Cheers Bubbs.
