Scrapbook Memories (Part 1)

Hi Marc, Good to see you back on and posting your excellent collection again. Haven’t been on myself much lately, but only 'cos I have had other things to do and this week been knocked over with a very nasty bug! Seeing that A.E.C. from Swindon got me thinking, do you have any pics. of Bob Kilby’s motors? I knew Bob well from the Speedway days, but lost touch in the transport years, so don’t know what motors he ran.
Oh, also now your pics. are all Copyrighted, doe’s it mean I can’t “borrow” them to use on other threads on the forum? Hope your connection problems are over as I wouldn’t want you to lose faith! Thanks for all your effort.

Hi,no problem Big G ,anyone can copy the pics for any thread on trucknet.I’m happy for that to happen.Heres some Turkish lorries for Orientmack

These 2 were taken in Antwerp 1984.

James Bateman:

I passed this bloody thing or one very similar working near Leipzig about 1992 that, and a gang of tinker tarmac hands, old D series Ford, a Bedford CF Van and a couple of brand new Shoguns with the drivers asking, “can ye spare a few Deutsch marks mister or some diesel to wash our shovels?”

That Transcon was owned by Chivers.

In the early days of Fieldings we used to sub for them and they had 2 of them.

REF CHIVERS TRANSCON’S THE OTHER ONE WAS BAE111V

Hello there Bubbleman and everyone!!

Seeing the pic of the ERF from Pountains Heavy Haulage, has anyone got any more pics of their fleet? IIRC they had some former Pickfords Scammells as well?
