This looks like a John Lewis Partnership motor, doesn’t it? Day cab, short wheelbase , side skirts, etc…
Brilliant pix. I think I saw a tree in the background of one pic. Somebody told me there weren’t any on Malta…
Hello, what a shame the pics are temporary out of view after John took the trouble to post them…thanks anyway.
Todays selection.
Hope these oldies bring back a few memories.

They certainly do, thank you Marc!
This would be early-to-mid '67 I think, with the prototype Viewline that had been exhibited at the 1966 Earls Court Show.
These are the same motors exhibited when the new Service Centre was opened in Bamber Bridge in June 1967.
Hi again, heres another load of oldies …look where the driver is in the first pic
Hope these stir a few memories.
Cheers Bubbs.

This picture was taken in the entrance to the then Berger depot at Stakehill Middleton Manchester.
When Berger moved out in 1982 the depot became a Tesco non perishable depot.

Hello John, It was my first trip overseas in that Bedford, your right there though bloody uncomfortable,I cut a sheet of ply
to at least make it a bit wider for sleeping, but that detroit engine made up for it in power, and the reason we had to use the bedford was the F88 was to high for the overhanging front of the stone crusher king pin.It weighed 28 ton and that detroit ■■■■■■ it down to marseille docks and a nice unit only trip back
Cracking pics Bubbleman…I especially appreciated the pic of the CabMont Daf.
Thanks for all the posts.
