Scrapbook Memories (Part 1)

Thanks again for all your efforts Bubbs - haven’t been here much lately due to moving house, so I’m really enjoying catching up. That little BR Bedford brings back a few memories, nice to see it. Liked the Freightliner Seddon too.

All the best for 2010.

Hi All

My driver Terry Moody gave me another old pic of a group of drivers from Strongs Brewery of Romsey near Southampton.

It compliments two other pics I posted along time ago

Regards Pat

Happy New Year Marc & all the Scrapbook Fans.

Hi shaun. The Mandator looks like it’s got a “Z” in the reg,so Northern Irish seems likely and trailer is carrying Irish Ale.Apart from that I can’t make out anything else :unamused:

looks like tzh 875 to me shaun

Hello, under the magnifying glass the A.E.Cs reg is…TZH825…

Bubbs.

Hi Bubbs and all. Happy new year and thanks for all the memories.
As usual I’m trying to catch up. That Taunton Meat Haulage Guy (Invincible? Warrior?) a couple of pages back has got me scratching my head again. I thought I knew TMH inside out back in the good days but I don’t remember any Guy. However, there’s the evidence. Guy showed Tone Vale Transport (TMH’s predecessor) a demonstrator when the Invincible was new back in the late '50s and the old man loved it. But Philip Langdon said no - it was flashier than a Leyland…

hiya,
Have a great New Year Bubbs i think you’ve cracked it with “Scrapbook” certainly the topper of 2009 lets have more of same in 2010, all the best to you and yours, this thread is great for lazy people like me who never took a photograph, never owned a camera, and never kept a magazine. once read it was either passed on or recycled via the dustbin, good on yer mate.
thanks harry long retired.

Hi Marc,
Read this on your thread a few months ago, this is the only pic of a Conod’s Marathon, that I have, although there was an old one in their workshop stripped down.
Cheers Dave.

Hiya again, nice pic of Robin Conods Marathon Dave,I saw the ex demo WTJ120L at Welland steam rally a few years ago and someone said it lived in Leominster…as Robin is a bit of Leyland man I put 2 and 2 together and got it wrong  …never mind.
Intertype7…heres a proper pic of a TMH Guy mate. …the rest for today is a mixture.

A great example of how a thoughtlessly placed wind deflector can cost you a lot more than if you never had one at all.
