Hi Marcus, I would like to wish you the best for the holidays, its just after 10:40 pm here in the States, but I do remember my days as a Welsh valley boy working over in Avonmouth. Those boys gave me a hard time. That, how ever is no reflection on you. As you are well aware myself, Andrew,Dave and many others are big fans of your site.
Here’s to many more pages and great memories, not just in the U.K. but everywhere where people like ourselves get great enjoyment out of every thing you
and felow members do.
Happy Holidays to all,
Paul.

merry xmas marc, many thanks for the best thread on the internet

hiya,
Hello there Mi 13 KE sorry about my delay in replying to your post, i don’t think i will have met up with you i rarely went into Darlington depot just the odd occasion for fuel when delivering tobacco to the ciggie factory usually brought down from Glasgow it was a bit near home base really met up up with some of the drivers at times but can’t remember names i think the sed ak you mention was driven by a pal of mine “Tommy” Ramage from new i never qualified for the newer stuff but had a very tidy Seddon a hand-me-down from Team Valley we got a few from there at one time,i was’nt at Consett depot for very long but only because of closure, but did work for North West BRS for a number of years in the Blackburn depot and when in the North East from there it was nearly always Teesside for backloading or sometimes Consett where i ended my BRS career a very unhappy day i just escaped into working for the local authority before the axe fell i did’nt have enough service in to entitle me to much redundancy having broken my service by going into the private sector when Blackburn finished could have transferred to Bolton depot then but it was a bit too far to travel, but got to admit the BRS was the best job i ever had.
thanks harry long retired

Hello again,As most of you are aware I’m moving soon so I pulled some drawers out of a chest and found this old yellowing piece from a 1977 Motor Transport had fell behind it…I nearly ripped it up and bunged it in the bin when I suddenly thought “why did I keep this”…here it is,I’ve had to play with it to get all the words in but it is readable.

I wonder if anyone knows these fella’s…would’nt it be good if theyre still driving.

Hope this was of interest.

Cheers Bubbs.
