By one off do you mean one version or only one built, if so does that mean the Pickfords Samson is the one shown below before painting in their livery. Wonder what happened to it. Franky.

It was featured in one of the comics many years ago, at which time it was being operated by a heavy haulier in Southampton.

Australian and New Zealand dealers converted loads of 6x4 Crusaders to 8x4 Samson spec by fitting second steer axles using the Samson Drawings. Regaurds, Chris
Thanks for that 240 Gardner, I’ve got another pic of the Samson in my old 1971 Observers Book of Commercials, in the Pickfords livery.
Shame it doesn’t look as good as its former self in that last photo but it might be getting there today with a bit of work. The write up in the book just says ‘only one version offered’ they were’nt lying then. Cheers Franky.
